HOW DID IT GO?

While the first day of the camp – July 26, 2023 was dedicated to getting to know each other and discussions the following days were focused on learning about renewable energy sources and gaining unique experiences.

WHICH POWER PLANTS DID WE VISIT?

  • The photovoltaic power plant in Rohovce

  • The wind power plant in Bruck an der Leitha

  • The Gabčíkovo Hydroelectric Power Plant.

  • The Želiezovce Hydroelectric Power Plant.

WHAT ELSE DID WE EXPERIENCE TOGETHER?

In addition to the theoretical skills gained during the camp visits, we also had the chance to experience a case study firsthand, working with information and applying it to propose real solutions, which were officially presented on the last day of the 4-day adventure. 

EXPERT OF SUMMER CAMP 2023

Mgr. Maroš Halama, PhD.

  • Vice Dean for Research, Innovation and International Relations of the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling.
  • His portfolio includes R&D projects in the field of corrosion.
  • Industrial demand and fault analysis in the energy, oil and gas, and coatings sectors.
  • In 2017 he was awarded the prestigious International Association for Advanced Materials Scientist Medal 2016 by IAAM President prof. Hisatoshi Kobayashi.
  • Since 2017, he has been serving as a member of the Steel Advisory Group at the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS).

Dorota is currently a member of the NextGen Energy team.
